Our Summer Sampler featured a track from every artist who has released on the label so far. Brix n’ Mortar, who started things off for deft, returned with another slice of their trademark funk-laden deep house sound. Sueno Soul also returned to the fold with (You are) Head Candy, whilst Kitster and Martin McFly contributed tracks of typical quality.
The Summer Sampler hit the DJ magazine hype chart two months before it was released and went on to be deft’s strongest selling release to date with committed support and praise from Ben Watt, Allister Whitehead and CJ Mackintosh.
